25 Reasons to buy a
Carrier ! |

|
1. The closed 4 inch deep
double-box floor system with integral cross members every 2-3/4 inches
prevents torsion and bending within the body that can cause fatigue
and cracking at the welds. Notice that Chevron's welds are 2-1/2
inches long and positioned on every cross member for superior strength. |

|
2. The extruded double-box sides give the body exceptional
strength. They also completely enclose the marker light wire harness
to prevent electrical problems. |

|
3. Chevron's JXL cab protector
is a steel mig welded assembly trimmed with aluminum and bolted to the
body. And for extra strength, the cab protector is reinforced with
twin vertical tubes. |
|

|
4. The main sill system
incorporates a 7 inch wide-flange channel that rides along full length
graphite impregnated phenolic wear strips mounted to the sub frame. |

|
5. On Chevron's steel bodies, a
wide variety of cab protectors are available. Shown here is the model
F cab protector. It is constructed with 5 x 3 perimeter tubes and 3/16
center plate welded to the body. Chevron also offers a wide variety of
winches in the steel body. Available capacities are 4, 5, 6, 7.5 and
10 tons. |

|
6. The full width aluminum tail light
housing completely encloses all wiring to prevent electrical corrosion
and damage. And for dock loading operations. Chevron provides
hydraulic rear stabilizers actuated by tandem 4 inch bore cylinders to
hold the suspension level. |

|
7. The cab carrier is built
with a steel MIG welded structural tube frame that is engineered to
fit the shape of each different cab. And like the body, the aluminum
cab carrier floor is constructed with Chevron's exclusive double-box
interlocking extrusions. |

|
8. Chevron 4-car carriers are
available with multiple winch configurations. Both winches can be
mounted at the front of the body, or the second winch can be located
in the middle of the body. And planetary winches can be ordered as
optional equipment for a faster line speed. |

|
9. All Chevron carrier provides enough lift height to allow
wheel
retainers to be used as tow bars. |

|
10. The low approach angle allows
easy damage free loading of low profile cars. And Chevron's setback side
rail gives the operator lay-down clearance when attaching the cable and
chain to a vehicle.
Ask about East Penn's exclusive 3/4 polished side rails. Gives you
the solid rail look and allows the extra wide dualies to fit without the
102" wide option. |

|
11. Inboard tilt cylinders are used
to allow the carrier to be mounted as close to the truck frame as
possible. The tandem cylinder configuration provides excellent load
stability. And the 4-inch bore provides plenty of tilting power. The
anti-tilt system employs a mechanical lock that prevents the body from
being tilted in the lock position. |

|
12. Illuminated dual controls allow
easy operation of all carrier functions from the driver and passenger
sides. |
